Palm Island is located in Placida, Florida. Placida is a very small town on the west shore of Cape Haze in southwest Florida.

Placida is approximately 1.5 hours drive south of Tampa airport and 1 hour drive north of SWF International Airport, which is located between Ft. Myers and Naples.

Cape Haze, along with Big Gasparilla island, forms the northern entrance to Charlotte Harbor. Captiva, Sanibel, Pine Island and a few other islands form the southern entrance to Charlotte Harbor.

• Boca Grande to the south
• Port Charlotte to the east
